Accumulations

Accumulations are sculptural collages made from collected paper ephemera, organized by color, size, shape, or personal categorizations—such as materials from a specific place of origin, a particular person, or remnants from another piece. The arrangements of the piles emerge on their own, shaped by adding, stacking, or handling. Once compressed and attached, the surface becomes a substrate where the edges of materials meet and added paper fragments combine.

The act of accumulation reflects the passage of time through gathering and amassing. In these works, that act shifts—amassing becomes the starting point for something new rather than an end in itself.
